Located on the
southwestern coast of Cabinda province in the northwest corner of Angola (full
name: THE REPUBLIC OF ANGOLA), on the eastern side of the Atlantic Ocean, it is
the largest oil port in Angola. Angola's oil reserves are about 2 billion tons,
and the annual output of oil is about 12 million tons. The exploitation of oil
has a dominant position in the national economy. The export income of oil is
the most important foreign exchange income of Angola, accounting for about 95%
of the total value of exports. Transportation roads are the mainstay. The port
is about 6km from the airport and has regular flights to the capital Luanda
every day.
